Program 1: the discovery Scholarship
The AASFA Discovery Scholarship is granted to inner-city youth who show an interest in attending an arts summer, weekend, after-school, or intensive institute or camp to explore a budding interest or curiosity in the arts. This scholarship is targeted towards children 8 - 12 years old.
This scholarship is contingent upon funding availability. However, if there is only one scholarship that can be offered during a semester, the Discovery Scholarship will be given priority for funding. This scholarship will be a minimum of $500 for each semester it is granted.

Program 2: the Transitional scholarship
The AASFA Transitional Scholarship is granted to inner-city youth who are seeking to transition from isolated dance classes to joining a formal group to further their interest in dance. This scholarship is targeted towards children 13 - 16 years old.
This scholarship is contingent upon funding availability. However, after the Discovery Scholarship is funded fully for two semesters, the Transitional Scholarship will be offered for at least one semester. This scholarship will be a minimum of $500 for each semester it is granted.

Program 3: the Foundational scholarship
The AASFA Foundational Scholarship is granted to inner-city youth who are planning to auditioning to a specialized high school or college program that requires an audition. The scholarship will be used to provide the student an opportunity to work with a dance professional who will guide the student with the auditioning preparation and process.
This scholarship is contingent upon funding availability. It will be the third scholarship funded for at least one semester. This scholarship will be a minimum of $500 for each semester it is granted.
sustainability scholarship
The AASFA Sustainability Scholarship is granted to inner-city youth who are involved in established dance groups, schools, and companies and require enrollment in a tuition-based program to refine their craft.
This scholarship is contingent upon funding availability. It will be the fourth scholarship funded for at least one semester. This scholarship will be a minimum of $500 for each semester it is granted.
