Our Team
At the Alice Allen Scholarship Fund for the Arts, we aim to keep our team small, but our outreach large. Our goal is to minimize the funds necessary to operate the organization so that we can use as much money as possible to provide students scholarships.

Dr. Monica George-Fields is Alice Allen's youngest child. Monica is the President and CEO of REACH Educational Solutions and has been an educator for over 32 years. Monica's goals for the Alice Allen Scholarship for the Arts are to:
- Establish the organization as a viable and impactful options for individual donors and philanthropists interested in supporting inner-city children's exposure to the arts;
- Create dynamic partnerships with local and national businesses so that greater attention is brought to the need to support inner-city children's access to the arts; and
- Honor her mother's, Alice Allen, voluntarism at Harlem School of the Arts by funding children's enrollment in the school.

Giovanni is Alice Allen's only grandson and the director of dance at Groundworks7 Dance Company. Giovanni is a professional dancer whose love of dance, percussion, and choreography was first nurtured at Harlem School of the Arts. Giovanni will use his love and passion for the arts to create a collegial and dynamic advisory board that will guide the future endeavors of AASFA.

Turquoise Gaddy is Alice Allen's granddaughter and the Director of In-School and District Services at REACH Educational Services. Turquoise will use her skills from her work at REACH Educational Solutions to secure partnerships with local and national organizations so that the AASFA is able to meet its goals of supporting 50 children's enrollment in the arts within 5 years.

Jazmin George is the youngest of Alice Allen's grandchildren and a recent graduate of Georgetown University. Jazmin will apply her writing talents to the creation of the organization's newsletters, blogs, and white papers. Jazmin will also organize the fund's special fundraising programs and scholarship programs.
Our Advisory Board
The Alice Allen Scholarship Fund Advisory Board serves as a guidance entity to the organization's Board of Directors. The Advisory Board will meet twice a year with the Board of Directors. Members of the Advisory Board are encouraged to join a sub-committee of interest and assist the organization with its goals. However, all Board of Directors and Advisory Board members are automatically members of the Annual Fundraising Gala. The sub-committees are:
- Philanthropic Outreach
- Annual Fundraising Gala (All Board of Directors and Advisory Board Members)
- Social Media Communications
- Special Fundraising Initiatives
- Nonprofit Best Practices
Membership to the Board of Directors and Advisory Board is by invitation only. New membership will be voted on every two years. The voting process will take place during one of the joint semi-annual meetings.
