Our Impact

Alice Allen worked tirelessly to support young aspiring dancers and artists to realize their dreams to perform on stages across the world.  Many members of dance companies, performers, and artists attribute their tenacity and willingness to achieving their goals to Ms. Alice's special and no nonsense talks of encouragement.

As a young nonprofit organization, AASFA has identified a five-year goal to raise funds to begin supporting five students during the 2018-2019 September-August calendar year and add five additional students to the recipient pool every year thereafter for five years.  The minimum funding goal for the scholarships will be $2,000 each.  Therefore, the funding goal for each year per five students is a minimum of $13,000 per year.

Our intent is to eventually expand AASFA to be able to support other art forms that attract students of visual, musical, and theater arts. We are fiercely dedicated to this endeavor because of the undisputable evidence that children involved in the arts find learning more engaging and do better academically.

This impact is only possible with the assistance of individuals and organizations.  We seek your help in with achieving these robust goals.  Imagine a world where every child has access to activities that build confidence, collaboration, and charisma.  Click the donate button to be a part of this important movement!

Because children who are involved with the arts develop logic and problem-solving skills, their performance on tests, such as the Scholastic Aptitude Test is greater than their counterparts.  Dance, in particular, helps children develop the mathematic skills by the necessity of counting beats.  In addition, children involved in the arts begin to develop stamina for learning new techniques and strategies in the area of study.  Those same children begin to develop transfer skills that allow them to develop stamina for learning skills outside their study of arts.  Therefore, the impact of being involved in the arts positively manifests in a child's life in many ways.
